I've had my many struggles and like you I was searching.  Welcome home because you are in the right place. Our eco-friendly and environmentally safe ingredients are perfect for catering to your skin needs and relieving you. 

I am Alithea Gibson owner and founder of Lacoda B & S. My many hats include Teacher, herbalist,  and your Herbal /natural soap maker. My passion is to help my earth family heal and become a better version of themselves holistically. 

Hence, we seek to begin with your skin, because, when you look good you are definitely gonna feel good.  I have always had a keen interest in natural medicine and making my own products, from soaps to deodorants (which I have been using for 5 years). Before my holy grill experience of natural products, I had severe skin irritations from commercial soaps and body washes, I suffered from acne and major hyperpigmentation and to make matters worst I was allergic to over-the-counter and prescription medicine. I  could still remember the uncontrollable itching that bought me to tears and left me fearful of trying any other product sold in stores. So, I decided enough is enough! I am going to make my own soap. 

My first was made from neem which I called the miracle bar because that's exactly what I experienced when I took my first shower. I notice the huge transformation in my skin, it was moisturized and did itch at all, it was amazing. I decided to post to my WhatsApp what I went through and how I solved it and a friend started to share and other people started to show interest by ordering and sharing. I wanted to get down to the "knity gritty" of the difference so my Jessica fletcher instinct kicked in,  I decided to research what could have caused me years of this discomfort. It turns out store-bought commercial soaps are packed with chemicals that stripe the skin of its natural oils, they are practically detergent.

 I was shocked to learn that ingredients found in engine cleaners, glass cleaners,  and garage floor cleaners are used to make store-bought soap. These dangerous chemicals have soaked into your bloodstream and now affect your hormones, fertility, or overall health.     

How dare they? Your skin deserves better, it deserves the best. 

That is why we aspire to make natural homemade soaps and more, that are inspired by herbs, fruit, spices plant oils, clays, essential oils, and fragrance oils. Great Mother nature has given us the resources needed to make it possible to live a bountiful and healthy lifestyle. 

Our History

Our Journey started on the beautiful, lush green, tropical island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines in 2018.  Our handmade soaps, lotion, and facemask were a huge hit on the island. Lacoda products were in every major supermarket and known outlet. We grew in presence and quality, providing the needed alternative to our beloved people.   With the impact of Covid 19 and the volcanic eruption on our island; with heavy hearts, we migrated to America. We said goodbye to our humble beginnings and looked toward the future.

NEW BEGINNINGS

On the 18th of January 2022 Lacoda  Re-Launched its amazing product in our new location, Newark, New Jersey.
